Montgomery Biscuits News Release
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Tampa Bay Rays have announced that 1B/OF Patrick Leonard has been transferred from AAA Durham to the Biscuits.
Leonard, 23, was hitting .198 with no home runs and six RBI in 42 games for the Bulls in 2016. He also hit five doubles and one triple in 131 at-bats on the young season. This will be Leonard's second stint at the Double-A level, as he spent all of 2015 with the Biscuits.
The Rays have also announced that Biscuits out. The 26-year-old reliever was 2-2 with an 8.24 ERA in 15 appearances for the Biscuits in 2016.
The Biscuits active roster is currently at 25.
