(WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK, Lexington, Ky.) The Lexington Legends took the lead with three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and went on to a 5-2 win over the Augusta GreenJackets Tuesday night in a game that ended in the top of the sixth inning due to rain.

Augusta opened the scoring with two runs in the top of the second. Skyler Ewing led off with a single and Dylan Davis walked. Ewing scored on a double by Jonah Arenado, and Davis later scored on a ground out by Travious Relaford.

The Legends answered with a run in the bottom of the second. Samir Duenez doubled, moved to third as Brandon Downes grounded out, and scored on a single by Chase Vallot.

Wander Franco led off the bottom of the fourth with a base hit, and after Duenez struck out, Downes doubled to center field, moving Franco to third. Vallot's sacrifice fly to center scored Franco as Downes advanced to third, and Downes came home on a wild pitch by Augusta starter Pat Young. Alexis Rivera followed with a 420-foot blast over the wall in straightaway center field, and the Legends led 4-2. They added a run in the fifth on a double by Franco, a ground out and a wild pitch.

The GreenJackets loaded the bases with no outs in the top of the sixth against reliever Brennan Henry when rain and lightning stopped the game.

Legends starter Corey Ray (4-5), who worked the first five innings, was the winning pitcher.

Young (7-2) took the loss.

Each team has won one game in the series, which concludes Wednesday. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
