Hickory, NC - Hickory Crawdads infielder Juremi Profar has been named the South Atlantic League's Player of the Week for July 27th -August 2nd, becoming the fourth 'Dad to win an SAL weekly award this season.

Profar, 19, led the hot-hitting Hickory offense by batting .450/.500/.900 with 3 doubles, 2 home runs, and 8 RBI over the six game stretch. The Curacao native posted four multi-hit games over the week in addition to recording at least one RBI in five of the six games.

Signed by the Texas Rangers as a international free agent in 2012, Profar currently leads the 'Dads with a .303 average over 33 games this season to go along with 3 home runs, 9 doubles, and 20 RBI. The younger brother of 2011 Crawdads All-Star Jurickson Profar, Juremi began the year with 13 games in Class-A Advanced High Desert before coming to Hickory on June 25th.

Profar joins RHP Ariel Jurado (5/25 - 5/31) as well as OF Luke Tender (4/9 - 4/19) and INF Tripp Martin (4/20 - 4/26) as Crawdads to win an SAL weekly award in 2015.
