
Legends Pass OKC with Flying Colors

FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends soared past the Oklahoma City Blue 102-86 Saturday night in front of a sold out home crowd.
The first quarter saw a full spread from the Legends as eight of the 10 players made the board. Mavericks assignee Justin Anderson led the way with 10 points as Texas shot up by 11. Oklahoma City used 11 unanswered points in the second to take their first lead of the night. With a balanced attack from the starting lineup, the Blue outscored the Legends 34-18 and carried a five-point lead into halftime.
Anderson added nine points to lead the team in the third as the Legends shot 43.5% to OKC's 31.3% and tied up the match at 69. With just under 11 minutes to play, back-to-back free throws from Dakari Johnson put the Blue back up by four, but the Legends responded with 12 straight points to grab their final lead of the night. Tu Holloway posted 13 points in 11 minutes to lead the Legends to a 33-17 final push for the win.
Anderson and fellow assignee Salah Mejri led the Legends in scoring, rebounds and blocks as Anderson posted 27 points and Mejri added 12 rebounds and 6 blocked shots. Micheal Eric came off the bench to grab 10 boards while Thomas Bropleh added 11 points in 12 minutes, shooting 3-of-3 from outside.
Talib Zanna led the Blue with the game's only double-double of 20 points, 12 rebounds while Johnson grabbed 10 boards and a team-high 4 blocks.
The Legends will host a rematch with the Blue next Saturday at 7pm at Dr Pepper Arena. The game will be broadcast live on Texas-47 as well as online through the NBA D-League's YouTube channel and www.kvgiradio.com.
