BOISE - The Bakersfield Jam (1-3) defeated the Idaho Stampede (1-3) 98-79 Saturday night at CenturyLink Arena. Five Jam players scored in double-figures, led by Earl Clark's game-high 23 points to go along with 10 rebounds and two blocks.
Both teams got off to a cold start from the field, shooting below 40 percent in the first 12 minutes of action, but Bakersfield would hold a slight advantage after one quarter of play (21-20). The Jam took control in the second period as they dominated from start to finish, outscoring the Stampede 29-14 while converting 50 percent of their shots (13/26 FGs). The Jam entered the break ahead 49-35.
Bakersfield would remain in control in the second half, increasing their lead to as many as 21 in the third and by 26 in the final frame.
C.J. Wilcox posted 18 points and eight rebounds for the Jam, while Terrico White finished with 15 points and six rebounds. Branden Dawson added 14 points and seven rebounds off the bench and Deonte Burton tallied 11 points.
The Stampede were led by Treveon Graham (18 points 9 rebounds) and Jeremy Williams (16 points). Jeff Ayers had 13 points.
Bakersfield will return home and face the Santa Cruz Warriors on Tuesday, November 24 at 7:00 p.m. PT.
