
Hunter's Double-Double Not Enough to Hold off the D-Fenders

RENO, NV ---- Despite Vince Hunter's double-double and the Bighorns outscoring the Los Angeles D-Fenders in two quarters, the Bighorns took a 113-111 loss at the Toyota Sports Center Saturday Night. Hunter logged a double-double in the night's contest with 32 points, 24 rebounds and one assist. Ricky Ledo netted 26 points and added five rebounds for the Bighorns. Newly acquired Bighorn, Erick Green, totaled 23 points and five assists in the Saturday night contest. In the first quarter, Hunter led the Bighorns going 5-6 from the field and notching 14 points and grabbing four rebounds. Bryant Voiles scored five points in the quarter while Green totaled four points, one rebound and one assist in the first. Ledo paced the Bighorns in the second quarter with 10 points. Reggie Hearn, Hunter and Green followed Ledo closely, scoring seven points each. Hunter totaled five rebounds in the quarter while Hearn totaled two. Green shot 3-5 from the field while Ledo shot 3-4 for the field. The Bighorns outscored the D-Fenders 31-21 in the quarter. The Bighorns came back from a 16 point deficit in the second quarter to end the first half of play trailing by three points (64-61). In the third quarter, Hunter notched eight points and totaled four rebounds in the quarter. Ledo shot 3-5 from the field in the quarter, netting eight points and adding two rebounds in the third. Green had four points and three assists in the quarter. Chad Toppert and Hearn had three points each. Green paved the way for the Bighorns in the final quarter, scoring eight points. Ledo had six points and one rebound in fourth while Hearn totaled five points and one rebound in the quarter. The Bighorns return to the Reno Events Center Sunday, Nov. 22 at 6 p.m. to host the Santa Cruz Warriors. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a David Stockton replica Jersey.
