
Legault Goes To Grand Rapids

BILOXI, Miss. â The Mississippi Sea Wolves of the ECHL announced today that right wing Jay Legault (leh-GOH) has been loaned to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League.
Legault, 25, receives his first AHL call up this season. The 6-foot-4 and 220-pound Legault has appeared in 36 games with the Sea Wolves in 2004-05, tallying 10 goals, 30 assists, a plus/minus of +4 and 41 penalty minutes. A native of Peterborough, Ontario, Legault registered a career-high 11-game point streak in December notching six goals and 12 assists for a total of 18 points over that span. In his fifth season of professional hockey and first year with Mississippi, Legault was selected by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the third round, 72nd overall in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft.
Legault becomes the fourth Mississippi player to receive a call up to the AHL in 2004-05, joining right wing Lee Jacobson (Cincinnati), left wing Jeff Hutchins (Rochester and Grand Rapids) and goaltender Matt Underhill (St. John's).
Legault will be available to the Griffins at 7:35 p.m. ET tonight as Grand Rapids visits Cincinnati to take on the Mighty Ducks at the Cincinnati Gardens.

The Sea Wolves return home at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday against the Columbia Inferno at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
