Chiefs Beat Bombers 4-2; Scott Gomez and the Alaska Aces Next

Johnstown, PA – On the heels of a 2-1 overtime loss to the Johnstown Chiefs Friday night at the Nutter Center, the Dayton Bombers lost again to the Johnstown Chiefs at the Cambria County War Memorial Saturday night.

For the sixth time in the last seven games, the Bombers scored first when MATHIEU BRUNELLE fired a shot from the top of the left face-off circle past David Cann to give Dayton a 1-0 lead at 15:22 of the first period.

The Chiefs rallied and scored twice in the second period. David Bowmann tied the game, 1-1, at 3:59, and Jean Desrochers gave Johnstown their first, 2-1, at 5:16.

Third period goals from Chad Cavanagh and Joe Tallari (PPG) gave Johnstown na 4-1 lead, before AARON FOSTER made it 4-2 with 6:47 remaining.

The Bombers return home tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon to host NHL All Star forward SCOTT GOMEZ and the Alaska Aces at 2:00 PM. "The Coaches Corner" Pre-Game Show starts at 1:50 PM on 980 Home, The Sports Animal and at daytonbombers.com.
