CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - A complete game by pitcher Brett Lee and four RBI from Adam Brett Walker pushed the Kernels to a 7-1 win over the Dayton Dragons on Friday night.

Lee (6-4) allowed just one run on five hits while walking one and striking out five. The performance is the first complete game of the season for the Kernels.

Walker powered a home run over the left center field wall to put the Kernels up 3-0 in the 1st inning. J.D. Williams led off with a single and Dalton Hicks walked before Walker's long ball. The early advantage was the first lead of the 3-game series against the Dragons.

The Kernels struck again in the 3rd with four runs on four hits. The first three batters of the inning reached base with Walker singling home Jorge Polanco, who also singled. Max Kepler's ground out to second drove in Hicks, who doubled. Later, Niko Goodrum singled home Travis Harrison and Michael Quesada recorded a sacrifice fly RBI to put the Kernels up 7-0.

Dayton pushed across a run in the 6th on two hits. Beau Amaral doubled and scored on Daniel Pigott's single to inch back the score to 7-1.

Dragons starter Nick Travieso (3-3) was pulled after 2.1 innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits.

Reliever Wandy Peralta was flawless out of the bullpen to stall the Kernels offense. The left-hander retired all 17 hitters he faced, striking out five in 5.2 perfect innings. That is the longest stretch the Kernels have gone without a base runner during the 2013 campaign.
