Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Cedar Rapids Kernels (affiliate of the Minnesota Twins) in the last game of a three-game series as the Dragons try for a sweep of the set.

Last Game: Dayton defeated Cedar Rapids 13-9 on Thursday. The Dragons scored three runs before an out was recorded in the first inning after scoring four before the first out Wednesday. In both games, Jesse Winker's homers accounted for the first inning runs.

Individual Notes

- Seth Mejias-Brean is 8 for 9 in the series and has hit safely in seven straight games. Since May 12, he is batting .333.

- Tanner Rahier has hit safely in 10 straight games, batting .415. He is batting .355 in the second half to raise his average from .206 to .252.

- Jesse Winker has driven in eight runs over the last two games, belting two home runs. Seven of the eight RBI have come in the first inning.

- Sammy Diaz is batting .387 over his last seven games to raise his average from .286 to .322. He has played in 24 games with the Dragons.

Team Notes

The Dragons have won three straight and six of their last eight games. With a win tonight, the Dragons would go two games above .500 for the first time in a half since they were 2-0 on April 6, 2012. A win tonight would also match the Dragons longest winning streak of 2013. The Dragons have scored 25 runs on 29 hits in the two games in the series, outscoring the Kernels 25-15. The Dragons are batting .283 in the second half after hitting .250 in the first half. The team ERA is 4.29 in the second half. It was 4.79 in the first half. The Dragons team ERA in 10 games in July is 3.91. They are 6-4 in July.
