Fresno Falcons News Release

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno Falcons captain Dan Tessier has been named an alternate captain for the National Conference All-Stars at next Wednesday's Coors Light ECHL All-Star Game in Reading, Pa.

In Fresno's first game after the announcement that Tessier had been picked as a starter for the National Conference, the Falcons' leading scorer promptly recorded his first professional hat trick during a 9-5 win against the San Diego Gulls on Jan. 7. Tessier is currently the ECHL's third leading scorer with 41 points (17g-24a) following a two-goal, two-assist performance last night against the Pensacola Ice Pilots. His second goal last night served as the game-winner in the Falcons' dramatic 4-3 overtime victory, which moved the club into sole possession of third place in the West Division.

The league named Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies left wing Luke Curtin as captain and Johnstown Chiefs center Brent Kelly as the other alternate captain for the National Conference.

Pensacola's Corey Neilson and the Charlotte Checkers' Mike Harder and Florida Everblades' Matt Pagnutti were named as the captain and alternate captains, respectively, for the American Conference All-Stars.

The Falcons next put their 8-0-1 record in 2005 on the line on Sunday, Jan. 23, when they host the Las Vegas Wranglers at Save Mart Center at 5 p.m. The game is a Falcons Family Day, featuring four tickets, four hot dogs and four soft drinks for just $40 - a savings of more than $30! Family Day packages must be purchased at the Save Mart Center box office.

Individual tickets are also on sale now for as low as $8 per seat and may be purchased directly at the arena box office and all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 485-TIXS (8497) or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
