Victoria Salmon Kings News Release

Victoria, BC – The Victoria Salmon Kings continue to add players in an attempt to break their current slide.

The newest Salmon King, Connecticut born forward Chris Corrinet, will bring experience and skill to Coach Bryan Maxwell's dressing room. The 6'3 218 pound winger was the fourth round pick of the Washington Capitals in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.

Corrinet has played the last four seasons in the AHL with the Worcester Ice Cats, Portland Pirates and the Philadelphia Phantoms. In the 2001-02 season Corrinet made his debut in the big show registering 8 games with the Capitals.

The 26 year old winger will bring size to the Salmon Kings line-up which continues to fight the injury bug. With the addition of Corrinet and Alexei Glukhov late last week the Salmon Kings have improved their offensive capability.

Maxwell has been saying for the past couple of weeks that he was going to make some moves and he has been true to his word, signing players that will definitely improve Victoria's roster.

Corrinet will play his first game in the ECHL against the Long Beach Ice Dogs on Wednesday. Tickets for the game are available at www.selectyourtickets.com or by phone at 250-220-7888, game time is 7:00 p.m. PST.
