
Lawson Named UHL Goaltender of the Week

Fort Wayne, IN --- The UHL announced today that Komet netminder Tom Lawson has been named the UHL Goaltender of the Week for the period ending Nov. 3, 2002.
Lawson, 23, was honored for his performance while appearing in 2 games posting a 0.74 goals against average, a .970 save percentage and his first career shutout. Lawson turned away 23 of 23 shots in Saturday's 3-0 victory over the Generals at Flint. The Whitby, Ontario native currently ranks third in the UHL with a 2.07 average.
It's the second week a Komet player has received a weekly league honor. Last week winger Michel Massie was named UHL Sher-Wood UHL player of the Week for the period ending Oct. 27.
