It's Storey Time

Lexington, KY- Lexington Men O' War General Manager of Hockey Operations/Head Coach Jim Wiley announced today team has added defenseman Ben Storey to their roster. In order to make room for the addition, the MOW waived rookie defenseman Brett Annettes. Chris Dirkes (D) was moved to the injured reserves list. Justin Van Parys (RW) was activated from the injured reserve list.

Storey spent last season playing in the Austrian League. Last season, the Harvard University grad posted five goals and 16 assists for 21 points in 30 games overseas. He also added 54 penalty minutes to his resume. For his career, the 25-year old defensemen has 13 goals and 46 assists for 59 points, with 194 penalty minutes in 158 games played. The Colorado Avalanche drafted Storey in the fourth round (98th Overall) of the 1996 NHL Entry Draft. After his four-year career at Harvard, Storey spent three seasons with the Hershey Bears of the AHL. Storey will debut with the Men O' War on the road in Cincinnati on Friday. Storey joins (G) Dan Murphy (Clarkson), (C) David Del Monte (Princeton) and (D) Chris Dirkes (Brown) as the only Ivy League graduates on the team.

The Men O' War visit Cincinnati on Friday and Toledo on Sunday before returning home on Sunday, November 10, when the Johnstown Chiefs make their first ever visit to Rupp Arena.
