Men O\' War Help Promote Reading

Lexington, KY- The Lexington Men O' War today announced the start of the Men O' War and Max and Erma's Reading Program. The program will be launched tomorrow, November 6th at 12:30 p.m. Johnson Elementary will kick off the first annual Reading Program for the Men O' War. Johnson Elementary is located at 123 E Sixth St. Two players and Mow (pronounced Moe) the mascot will be present to read to seven groups of students from 12:30 to 2:30. The groups will be broken up as follows:

Room 107, 12:30 – 1:00 Room 109, 12:30 – 1:00
Room 110, 1:00 – 1:30 Room 128, 1:30 – 2:00
Room 126, 1:30 – 2:00 Room 124, 2:00 – 2:30
Room 120, 2:00 – 2:30

Over 200 students from Kindergarten to 5th Grade at Johnson Elementary will be read to by the Men O' War. Items donated by Joseph Beth Booksellers will be distributed by Mow the mascot to the children. Upcoming Reading Program dates are November 12th at Harrison Elementary and November 13th at Arlington Elementary. The Men O' War and Max and Erma's Reading Program will last for the duration of the season with players reading to 26 different Fayette County Public Elementary Schools. Thirty-five schools total will benefit from the Reading Program

The Men O' War visit Cincinnati on Friday and Toledo on Saturday before returning home on Sunday, November 10, when the Johnstown Chiefs make their first ever visit to Rupp Arena.
