Late run dooms Snappers
June 30, 2005 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Beloit Sky Carp News Release
Kyle Waldrop ended up with no decision in his longest outing of the year as the Dragons edged out the Snappers 4-3. For Waldrop, the three runs he gave up in the top of the fourth turned out to be the key contributor in the Dayton victory. Following the fourth, the Snappers starter was perfect, retiring the next thirteen batters he faced. As for the Snappers battery, Korey Feiner's RBI single in the bottom of the eighth tied the game at three. Dayton retook the lead in the top of the ninth. The Snappers were shut down in their half of the inning by Dragons closer Blake Hendley.
Upcoming Schedule: The Snappers will be hosting Dayton for three more games at Pohlman Field, followed by a four game road series against Wisconsin.
