Las Vegas Wranglers News Release

Las Vegas - With the game-winning goal coming in the literal last seconds, the Las Vegas Wranglers secured a 4-3 win over the Bakersfield Condors tonight.

Las Vegas took an early lead on a goal from center Ash Goldie with forward Judd Blackwater on the assist. Five minutes later at the 7:51 mark, Bakersfield forward Robby Dee tied the game 1-1 with an assist from defenseman Tyson Gimblett. The score remained the same into the second period until Dee tallied his second goal of the night to put the Condors in the lead 2-1. Dee's second goal was assisted by defenseman Dan Lawson. Wranglers forward Scott Campbell responded with a goal almost four minutes later, though, and tied the game once again at 2-2. He was assisted by forwards Adam Miller and Ryan Weston.

Two minutes into the third, the Condors took their second lead of the night. A third goal from Dee, assisted by forwards Tyler Helfrich and Peter Boyd, gave Bakersfield a 3-2 advantage. The Wranglers were able to snag another tie 9:19 into the frame with defenseman Barry Goers' first goal of the season. Assisted by forward Josh Lunden and Blackwater, the Wranglers knotted the game 3-3. Overtime seemed certain until Campbell secured the game-winning goal for Las Vegas with 15.2 seconds left on the clock and help from Miller and Weston. The Wranglers won 4-3 over the Condors, and Goldie and Campbell received two of the Three Stars of the game.
