Idaho Steelheads News Release
(Boise, ID) - Idaho Steelhead forward Kael Mouillierat has been loaned to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League, Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Hardy Sauter announced Friday.
It marks the third time the Sound Tigers have called Idaho for a player, though the two teams are not affiliated Defenseman Steve Oleksy, who is under ECHL contract with Idaho, is currently on Bridgeport's roster.
Mouillierat (pronounced MOLE-er-rat) is tied for the team lead with 23 points (11 goals, 12 assists) through 24 games with the Steelheads. The eleven goals is tops on the team and the twelve assists is second to Chad Klassen's 15. The 24-year-old Mouillierat was an ECHL All-Star with Idaho last season and voted onto the ECHL All-Rookie team after scoring 63 points in 62 games with the Steelheads.
This is his second trip to the AHL. He appeared in six games with the Texas Stars, Idaho's AHL affiliate, last season. The AHL is the highest level of minor-league hockey in North America.
Idaho heads out on the road this week, traveling to Stockton, CA, on Friday and Saturday night. Idaho's next home game is Wednesday, December 21, against the defending Kelly Cup champion Alaska Aces at CenturyLink Arena in Boise.
