Tonight's Matchup:

The first meeting ever between the Chicago Express and the Elmira Jackals takes place tonight at the Sears Centre Arena. The Jackals come into the game as one of the ECHL's hottest teams, going 8-2-0-0 in their last 10 games. That stretch also includes six straight wins for Elmira from November 26 through December 7. Chicago enters the game following a 4-3 loss at the hands of the Toledo Walleye, in which the Express gave up all four goals in less than ten minutes at the start of the second period. Chicago may have some extra motivation for tonight's game, however, as head coach Steve Martinson coaches against his former team for the first time.

Two Return from the AHL:

Chicago sees the return of two players from the American Hockey League for tonight's game. G Rob Nolan, who was loaned to the Houston Aeros, and D Drew Paris, who was recalled to the Toronto Marlies, will both be back in the Chicago lineup tonight.

Nolan, 26, was loaned to the Aeros on December 6, and has missed the last four Express games. Prior to joining the Aeros, Nolan had played in 12 games with the Express, going 6-5-1 with a 2.87 GAA, which leads the team, and a .901 save percentage. Nolan earned the first win Chicago Express history in the team's first game, a 5-1 win over the Walleye on Oct. 15.

Paris, 23, rejoins Chicago after being reassigned by the Toronto Marlies. The 6-4, 205 pound defenseman has played in 12 games this season as a member of Toronto, earning a +5 rating and eight PIM. While with the Express, Paris has played in eight games, earning four points. The Pointe-Claire, QC, native scored two goals, both on the power play, against Toledo in Chicago's inaugural game.

Express Notes:

Chicago is the second-highest penalized team in the Eastern Conference, with 449 PIM this season. The only team who has collected more PIM is the Florida Everblades, who have collected 455... Chicago has played four games against the Atlantic Division this season, posting a record of 3-0-1-0 and earning seven of eight possible points... RW Tyler Donati, a former member of the Jackals, is just two points away from 200 in his professional career (64g, 134a)... C Aaron Marvin set a club record on Wednesday with the first three-assist game in Chicago Express history.
