Las Vegas agrees to terms with defenseman Robinson

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that they have agreed to terms with defenseman Jody Robinson for the 2006-07 season.

Jody Robinson spent the past four seasons with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League. The New Haven, CT native appeared in 12 games with the Tigers during the 2005-06 season notching one assist and 19 penalty minutes. Robinson also spent time with two other professional teams, the Elmira Jackals and Rochester Americans. For his career, the 27-year old defenseman has suited up for 301 games, scoring six times and adding 36 assists for 42 points. The veteran also added 318 penalty minutes and is a +52 (plus/ minus rating) over that span. Robinson played his collegiate hockey at Mercyhurst College, racking up 13 goals, and 45 assists for 58 points and 52 penalty minutes.

The Las Vegas Wranglers open training camp for their fourth season in the ECHL on Friday, October 6th. The Wranglers will host the Phoenix Roadrunners on Thursday, October 12th at 7:05 pm, in their only preseason game at the Orleans Arena in 2006.

The Wranglers play all 36 home games at the Orleans Arena, located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Avenue. The Wranglers host the Victoria Salmon Kings for the home opener on Friday, November 3rd at 7:05 pm.
