PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced on Thursday that Sportstape has signed a three-year extension to continue its partnership as the "Exclusive Tape Provider of the ECHL".

The agreement has Sportstape providing all tape used by ECHL teams at a preferred price for exclusivity in league locker rooms from 2006-09. Sportstape signed its original three-year agreement with the ECHL prior to the 2003-04 season.

"Sportstape is proud to extend our working relationship with the ECHL. This is truly one of the best indications of Sportstape's commitment to product quality and service in the team business," said Bill Cowtan, President of Sportstape. "The 'OPS' adhesive, developed by Sportstape, continues to be the choice of professional hockey teams who demand high-performance products for their players.

"Now entering our second three-year agreement with the ECHL is special to us, since it was with the ECHL that the whole idea about 'league-wide' programs was developed," Cowtan added. "The partnership with the ECHL has allowed Sportstape to establish supplier programs with the other professional leagues in North America, the American Hockey League, the Central Hockey League and the United Hockey League."
