Rights To Aaron Foster Swapped For Financial Considerations

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder has announced the rights to left wing Aaron Foster have been traded to the Cincinnati Cyclones in exchange for financial considerations.

Foster, 23, appeared in 62 games for the Thunder in 2005-06, scoring 39 points (20g-19a) with 121 penalty minutes. Originally acquired from the Dayton Bombers on September 28, 2005 in exchange for financial considerations, Foster has collected 94 points (47g-47a) and 309 penalty minutes in 187 career ECHL games with Stockton, Dayton, and the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies.

Foster previously scored 133 points (62g-71a) with 375 penalty minutes in 225 career games with the Prince George Cougars, spanning four seasons (1999-03) in the Western Hockey League.

The Thunder opens 2006-07 training camp on Friday, October 6 at Stockton Arena, beginning at 9:30 a.m. PT.

Stockton faces the Fresno Falcons in a 4:00 p.m. PT pre-season game on Sunday, October 15 at Stockton Arena. The Thunder begins the 2006-07 ECHL season Friday, October 20 on the road against the Bakersfield Condors at 7:00 p.m. PT, and faces the Long Beach Ice Dogs on Saturday, October 28 at 7:30 p.m. PT in the home opener at Stockton Arena.

An ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers, the Thunder drew 228,364 fans to Stockton Arena in its inaugural season, the ECHL's best attendance mark for 2005-06.
