
Lamb, Queen and Kabengele Obtain Double-Doubles in Sweep over Legends

FRISCO, Texas - In the last game of an eight-game road trip, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (13-5), the NBA G League affiliate of the Houston Rockets, swept the Texas Legends (8-9) 141-95 on Wednesday night at Comerica Center.
In the first quarter the Vipers were up 35-20, but before going into the half RGV increased its lead by 29 points with a score of 75-46. The biggest lead of the game came at the end of the third quarter as the Vipers led by 44 points resulting in a score of 109-65. The game would come to an end with a 141-95 victory for RGV.
Anthony Lamb was the lead scorer of the game and was one of three Vipers players to reach a double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds. Houston Rockets Two-Way player Trevelin Queen followed closely as he posted a double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Marcus Foster summed up 19 points. Christian Vital (16 points) and Tyler Bey (15 points) both came off the bench and scored a combined 31 points. Mfiondu Kabengele also obtained a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Feron Hunt led the Legends with 21 points and seven rebounds followed by Carlik Jones with 17 points and five assists. Justin Jackson hit 16 points and eight rebounds. Brandon Fields ended the game with 11 points and five assists.
The Vipers return to the Bert Ogden Arena on Friday, February 25 to host the Oklahoma City Blue. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. CT. In celebration of Heart Health Night, the first 500 fans in attendance will receive a heart shaped gel ice pack.
