
Lakeland Magic Defeat Capital City Go-Go 120-109

The Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, defeat the Capital City Go-Go 120-109 on Wednesday night at the RP Funding Center.
It was a back and forth contest in the first quarter of play with the Magic leading the Go-Go 33-27 entering the second. The Magic stole the show in the second quarter shooting 48 percent (12-25) from the three compared to the Go-Go's 25 percent (3-12). The Magic would take a 68-49 lead into the locker room at the half.
The Go-Go made a run in the third quarter to get within six points (81-75) with 5:21 on the clock but the Magic would extend the lead to eight points heading into the final quarter of play. The Go-Go cut the lead back to three (98-95) with 7:02 remaining in the game but the Magic turned it up and extended the lead to 15-points before closing out the victory in a final score 120-109.
Six players scored in double figures for the Magic with Antonio Campbell leading the way with 22 points and 5 rebounds. BJ Johnson posted 20 points and 6 rebounds. John Petrucelli had 20 points shooting 5-5 from the three. Gabe York scored 17 points and 5 assists. Troy Caupain had 10 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Anthony Brown also scored 10 points with 7 rebounds on the night.
For the Go-Go, Jordan McRae poured in 44 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Pe'Shon Howard scored 17 points. Darel Poirier had 13 points and 6 rebounds. Isaiah Armwood scored 10 points and 8 rebounds.
The Lakeland Magic are back at home this Friday, February 22 against the Salt Lake City Stars and remain in sole possession of first place in the Eastern Conference. Tip-off at the RP Funding Center is set for 7:00pm. The game will be available on Facebook Live.
