
De'Anthony Melton Assigned to Northern Arizona Suns

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Phoenix Suns announced today that they have assigned guard De'Anthony Melton to the Northern Arizona Suns.
Melton last played for the NAZ Suns on Nov. 27. This marks his fourth assignment to the NBA G League, where he has averaged 17.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.4 steals in five games (all starts). Among players who have played five games in the league this season, Melton is one of two averaging at least seven rebounds and six assists (Gary Payton II).
The 20-year-old hasn't played for the Phoenix Suns since Jan. 24 due to a right ankle sprain. In his rookie year with Phoenix, Melton has averaged 5.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.52 steals in 33 games (25 starts). He's second among rookies in the NBA with 1.52 steals per game.
The NAZ Suns next play tonight at the Findlay Toyota Center at 6:30 p.m. against the South Bay Lakers. Tickets can be purchased at www.nazsuns.com/tickets. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
