LAFC Travels to Seattle to Face the Sounders FC Sunday Afternoon

April 27, 2019 - Major League Soccer (MLS) - Los Angeles FC News Release

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) travels to the Pacific Northwest to take on the Seattle Sounders FC on Sunday, April 28 at CenturyLink Field. Kickoff tomorrow is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. PT and the match will be broadcast on ESPN, the ESPN App, and 980 AM 'La Mera Mera'.

In the first regular season meeting between the two sides last Sunday at Banc of California Stadium, LAFC earned a convincing 4-1 victory with goals from Carlos Vela (2), Eduard Atuesta and Christian Ramirez, handing Seattle its first defeat of the 2019 season.

Following the road loss in Los Angeles, the Sounders would drop their first home points of the season after a 2-2 draw against the San Jose Earthquakes on Wednesday night. Despite the tie, Seattle is currently riding an eight-game unbeaten streak at CenturyLink Field.

After a 7-1-1 (22 points) record to start its sophomore campaign, LAFC has the fifth-best record in MLS history after the opening nine games of a season. Meanwhile, Seattle sits in third place in the Supporters' Shield standings with a 5-1-2 (17 points) record.
