Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) are set to take on the Colorado Rapids at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Week 6 of the 2023 MLS Regular Season on Saturday, April 1. Kickoff is set for 6:30 PM PT and will be broadcast live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and on radio on ESPN LA 710 AM and 980 AM La Mera Mera.
Saturday's contest will mark the 9th meeting between LAFC and Colorado since 2018. The Black & Gold hold the advantage in the head-to-head series with a 5-3-0 all-time record.
NEWS & NOTES
LAFC (3-0-1; 10 points) is one of four teams, along with the expansion St. Louis City SC, the Seattle Sounders and FC Cincinnati that is yet to lose a game in MLS this season.
LAFC is currently tied for No. 2 in the league for fewest goals allowed (2).
LAFC is 5-3-0 against the Rapids, with just one win coming when playing away in Colorado.
Saturday will be Ilie Sanchez first match played as an American Citizen after earning U.S. citizenship on Wednesday (March 29).
Carlos Vela has scored three hat tricks so far in his MLS career, two of which have come against Colorado: Feb 26, 2022 and Oct. 16, 2019.
