March 31, 2023 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
FC Cincinnati News Release
FC Cincinnati have recalled winger Isaac Atanga from Turkish club Göztepe SK, and transferred the 22-year-old to Norwegian side Aalesunds FK for an undisclosed fee, the club announced today.
The Ghanaian International scored one goal in 23 appearances with FC Cincinnati since he was acquired in March 2021 from FC Nordsjaelland in the Danish Superligaen through the U22 initiative.
"First, we'd like to thank Isaac for his contributions to FC Cincinnati," said Chris Albright, FC Cincinnati General Manager. "Isaac's a good kid, and we look forward to the next step in his development with Aalesunds. We wish him all the best for the future."
In 2022, he made 10 appearances for the Orange and Blue across MLS, U.S. Open Cup and MLS NEXT Pro action prior to being loaned to Göztepe SK in August.
FC Cincinnati are back in action Saturday evening at TQL Stadium against Inter Miami CF. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. and tickets are still available at fccincinnati.com/tickets or by calling (513) 977-5425 (KICK).
