Nashville SC is on the road this weekend to face Orlando City SC on Saturday night.

The Boys in Gold will be looking to earn a second road result in their third road match of the season. They'll have to do so against a familiar foe in Orlando, who has played Nashville in some memorable matches over the last three seasons.

It will also be a unique weekend for the club, as all three levels of the club (Nashville SC, Huntsville City FC in MLS NEXT Pro, NSC Academy in the MLS NEXT GA Cup) will be playing in Florida over the weekend. You can check out the full slate of matches here.

For Our City - Nashville SC will travel to Orlando with its hearts heavy after Monday morning's shooting at The Covenant School in Nashville.

The players will be wearing black armbands on their sleeves during Saturday's match as a tribute to the lives lost.

Energy in the Squad - Nashville SC is coming off two 1-0 defeats in which the team controlled large stretches of the match and generated significant scoring chances.

Defender Jack Maher said the team is ready to take on another challenge and bounce back this weekend.

"Whenever you come off a couple of difficult results, I think everyone is just ready to move on to the next one," Smith said. "I think everyone is really sharp and ready to go. We can't wait to board the plane and just get down there and get the 90 minutes underway."

History With Orlando - Nashville and Orlando have faced off seven times across all competitions, including a 3-1 win in the 2021 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs. Nashville has won once in Orlando as well, coming back to win 3-2 with a stoppage-time winner on Decision Day in 2020.

The two sides have not met in the regular season since the 2021 season. Head Coach Gary Smith says Orlando has changed since their last encounter and knows they'll be a difficult team to break down.

"We go to an Orlando group that has started in a very decent mode," Smith said. "We know how difficult it can be in Orlando. They've made some changes this offseason and added some really bright talents to the group. It'll be no different to any other game we have to play away from home. We have to be at our best, but I do certainly believe there's enough good in the group that I'm seeing to warrant earning points more often than not this year."
