
U-15s and U-17s to Compete in Generation Adidas Cup

The 2023 Generation adidas Cup kicks off this Saturday at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida with 49 clubs from 12 countries taking part in the annual week-long tournament. The U-15s and U-17s will represent the FC Cincinnati Academy and compete in Group 5 and Group 4, respectively, to determine qualification for the knockout round stages.
The Young Garys will play three matches over the first three days of the competition. The U-15s will face Toronto FC on April 1, Toulouse FC on April 2 and Real Salt Lake on April 3 while the U-17s square off against L.A. Galaxy on April 1, Palmeiras on April 2 and Colorado Rapids on April 3.
The U-17s match against Palmeiras will be broadcast on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET. 28 Generation adidas Cup games will be broadcast through MLS Season Pass, including the championship matches in each division.

MLS club seeding was determined by Generation adidas Cup Qualifiers at MLS NEXT FEST last December. 16 teams will qualify for the winner's side of the draw with winning teams advancing to play in a bracket-style elimination format. All teams competing in the Generation adidas Cup are guaranteed to play seven 60-minute matches, comprised of two 30-minute halves.
The Championship match for each age group will be held on April 9. The U-15 championship match is set for 12 p.m. ET with the U-17 championship match scheduled for 5 p.m. ET.
