Los Angeles FC News Release

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) begins its fourth season in Major League Soccer on Saturday, April 17 against expansion side Austin FC. Tomorrow's contest will kick off at 3:00 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on FOX, FOX Deportes, ESPN 1110 AM and KFWB 980am.

Since coming into the league, LAFC has gone 6-1-2 in the month of April. The Club is also 3-for-3 in home openers, with victories over Seattle Sounders FC (1-0; 4/29/18), Sporting KC (2-1; 3/3/19) and Inter Miami CF (1-0; 3/1/2020).

LAFC players will be wearing black "Forza Mo" armbands in memory of Mauricio "Mo" Fascio, one of the founding members of The 3252 and the Vice President of The 3252 Independent Supporters Union. Fascio lost his battle with COVID-19 on March 19, 2021. All fans in attendance will also receive the armband. Mo was a larger than life presence in the North End of the stadium, and he possessed an unwavering commitment to LAFC, football culture and the Los Angeles community. He was an instrumental part of the core leadership team that created one of the most electrifying live sports environments in North America. LAFC will honor Mo and his memory throughout the 2021 season through community events and programming to support causes important to the Fascio family.
