
Lacroix and Pokulok Reassigned to Hershey

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach/General Manager Jared Bednar announced today that Maxime Lacroix and Sasha Pokulok have been reassigned by the Washington Capitals from the Stingrays to the Hershey Bears.
Lacroix, 21, joined the Stingrays this year after playing the last four years in the QMJHL, tallying 83 goals and 93 assists for 176 points in 254 contests with the Quebec Remparts. The 6-foot, 190-pound forward currently leads the Stingrays with ten goals and is second on the team in points with 16 (10g, 6a) in 14 games. The Quebec, PQ native was originally Washington's 5th round selection (127th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
Pokulok, 22, returned this season after concluding the 2007-08 season with the Stingrays where he collected six assists in 18 playoff games. The 6-foot-5, 230-pound defensemen has eight points (2g, 6a) in 14 games with the Rays this year and leads the team with a plus-27 plus/minus rating. A 1st round Washington Capital's draft pick in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft (14th overall), Pokulok spent most of last season in Hershey, totaling seven points (1g, 6a) and 43 penalty minutes in 44 contests.
