Forward Reed assigned to Blades

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced that forward Harrison Reed has been assigned to the club by the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League.

Reed comes to the Everblades after beginning his professional career with the River Rats. The 20-year-old skated in 11 games with Albany scoring one goal. The native of Holland Landing, Ontario made his professional debut on October 11 vs. Bridgeport, then tallied his first professional point with his first pro goal a week late at Bridgeport.

Prior to turning pro, the former 3rd round draft pick by the Carolina Hurricanes in 2006, finished off a four-year junior career in the Ontario Hockey League. From 2004-2008 Reed skated in 210 career junior games, scoring 178 points (69g, 109a) with London, Sarnia and Guelph. His best season came in 2006-07 when he notched a junior career-high 81 points (29g, 52a) in 67 games with the Sarnia Sting.

The Everblades return to action on Tuesday, November 25 when they travel to Gwinnett to take on the Gladiators from The Arena at Gwinnett Center at 7:05 p.m.! The Everblades' next home game is Friday, December 12 when they host the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:30 p.m.
