- In their fifth game of the season, the LA Galaxy earned a 2-0 victory over Vancouver Whitecaps FC at BC Place.
- The result moves the Galaxy to 4-1-0 with 12 points through five matches on the season.
- The LA Galaxy are now 1-1-0 on the road, with two goals scored and two goals conceded.
- In all, the Galaxy have now scored nine goals and allowed six on the season in all contests.
- Forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic recorded a goal and an assist during the match.
- In three games, Ibrahimovic now has four goals and l e assist.
- Defender Daniel Steres recorded his second goal of the season when he tallied the game winner on an assist from Ibrahimovic in the second half.
- LA Galaxy defender Diedie Traore made his MLS debut Friday night. Traore was the first LA Galaxy II Tryouts winner to sign a professional contract with the club.
- Ibrahimovic has scored 26 goals in 27 career starts for the LA Galaxy.
- Guillermo Barros Schelotto is now 4-1-0 all-time as a head coach in MLS.
- In their next match, the Galaxy will return home to face the Philadelphia Union at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m. PT, live on Spectrum SportsNet.
