- In their opening match of the 2020 MLS Regular Season, the LA Galaxy earned a 1-1 draw on the road at Houston Dynamo.
- With the result, the Galaxy are now 0-0-1 with 1 point on the season.
- The Galaxy are now 11-12-8 all-time against the Houston Dynamo.
- The Galaxy are now 5-8-4 all-time against the Dynamo in road contests.
- The two sides will face each other for a second contest this season on April 25 at Dignity Health Sports Park.
- In their next contest, the Galaxy return home for their 2020 home opener against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Saturday, March 7 live on Spectrum SportsNet.
- The Galaxy are now 0-0-1 when scoring the game's opening goal and 0-0-1 when leading the match at the half.
- Cristian Pavon tallied the Galaxy's lone goal of the game, bringing his MLS total to four.
- In 12 total regular season games, Pavon now has four goals and eight assists.
- David Bingham recorded the assist on Pavon's goal, marking the first assist of the goalkeeper's career.
