Injuries:
Nicolas Benezet will miss today's game after breaking his nose on February 12 in a friendly against New England. Kortne Ford will miss today's game as he continues rehab on his knee.
Notes:
Jack Price will wear the captain's armband for the Rapids today. A two-time club MVP, Price has appeared in 58 games for the Rapids over two seasons, dropping in 11 assists last year.
Drew Moor returns to the lineup marking his 182nd regular-season appearance for the club. He will pair with Lalas Abubakar in central defense to open the 25th MLS season.
Keegan Rosenberry starts for the Rapids in the right full back position. Rosenberry is one of three MLS players to play every minute during the 2019 season.
Younes Namli starts in midfield today, marking the Designated Player's club debut.
Andre Shinyashiki will start the match on the wing for the Rapids. The reigning MLS Rookie of the Year chipped in a dramatic goal in last year's season opening match against Portland en route to his banner campaign.
Kei Kamara will lead the attack for the Rapids in D.C. He enters the season needing nine goals to secure his spot in the top three on the MLS all-time goals list.
