
Komets Host Kalamazoo Tonight

Fort Wayne, IN --- The Komets will host Kalamazoo tonight at 7:05 at McMillen Ice Arena in Fort Wayne. It will be the 2nd of a home-and-home exhibition series between the long-time rivals. Last night the Wings nipped the Komets at Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo 1-0. The game was scoreless until the last second when the Wings netted the game winner at 19:59 of the 3rd frame to please a home town crowd of 1,806. Tickets for tonight's final preseason tune-up at McMillen will be available at the door.
There will be no Fort Wayne radio broadcast of tonight's game. Kalamazoo live game audio may be heard on the internet through a link at the Komet's website www.komets.com.
Roster trimmed by 2....the Komets cut 2 players from training camp today. Released were skaters Jason McRae and Pete Wilson. Wilson skated in last night's exhibition game at Kalamazoo and earned 17 penalty minutes. The Komet camp roster now stands at 24 including 14 forwards, 7 defensemen and 3 goaltenders.
