(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) - Seby Zavala's ninth inning home run sent the Charlotte Knights into extra innings. Micker Adolfo's single in the 10th inning sent everyone home happy.

With the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning, Adolfo ripped a single up the middle and Yolbert Sánchez raced home to score the game-winning run as the Charlotte Knights beat the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp by a score of 5-4 on Sunday afternoon at Truist Field. With the win, the Knights earned a split of the six-game series.

Adolfo continued his red-hot hitting on Sunday, finishing the game with two hits and the game-winning RBI. The Dominican native has at least two hits in four of his last five games. He has also hit safely in six of his last eight games.

They tacked on one more run in the top of the fifth inning to take a 3-1 lead. Charlotte responded with four runs over the final three innings of the game to earn an impressive come-from-behind win.

RHP Yacksel Ríos (1-0, 6.30) earned the win out of the Charlotte bullpen despite allowing an unearned run in the top of the 10th inning. RHP Emilio Vargas started the game and allowed two runs on four hits over four innings pitched.

White Sox RHP Joe Kelly began his major league rehab assignment on Sunday and pitched a scoreless seventh inning. The two-time World Series Champion fanned one batter and did not allow a hit. He threw 17 pitches (10 for strikes).
