Knights Acquire Berisha; Trade Welychka

LONDON, ONTARIO: London Knights General Manager Mark Hunter announced today that he has traded overage forward Brett Welychka to Belleville. In exchange, the Knights welcome forward Aaron Berisha from the Belleville Bulls as well as Mississauga's 2nd round pick in 2015 and Erie's 3rd round pick in 2016.

Berisha, a 4th round pick of the Bulls in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection, is in his third OHL season. The Toronto, Ontario native is a product of the Toronto Marlboros Minor Hockey Association and was an integral member of their 2011 OHL Cup Championship team where he was awarded OHL Cup MVP honours.

Welychka, a London, Ontario native, played all five years of his Ontario Hockey League career with his hometown London Knights. He was drafted in the 5th round of the 2010 OHL Priority Selection. He went undrafted at the NHL Entry Draft but attended Tampa Bay Lightning and Chicago Blackhawks rookie camps the past two years.
