The Niagara IceDogs beat the Sudbury Wolves 3-2 Saturday night for their second straight win in the Meridian Centre.

Defenceman Vince Dunn gave the IceDogs an early lead as he beat Wolves goaltender Troy Timpano through the five-hole for his second goal of the season. Carter Verhaeghe added another at 11:50 to give the IceDogs a two-goal lead after the first period.

Johnny Corneil scored the only goal in the second period, his first of the season, when he finished off a nice passing play between himself, Graham Knott and Mikkel Aagaard. The Wolves scored twice in the third to get within one, but an empty net goal from Knott put the game away.

Brent Moran put in another solid performance, making 29 saves for his second win of the season.

The IceDogs will travel to Buffalo next, to play the Erie Otters at the First Niagara Centre.
