Kings Recall Bernier

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have recalled goaltender Jonathan Bernier from the Monarchs under emergency conditions, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Bernier, 21, has played in one game with the Kings this season - March 12 at Dallas where he recorded the win as part of a 2-1 Kings shootout victory. He was recalled by the Kings on March 11 under emergency conditions and was assigned by the Kings to the Monarchs on March 14. He has also played in 56 games with the Monarchs this year, recording a 29-20-6 record, a 2.07 goals-against-average, a.936 save percentage and eight shutouts.
