Heat fall to Moose 5-2

ABBOTSFORD B.C. - The Manitoba Moose scored three second-period goals and added two more in the third to defeat North Division rivals, the Abbotsford Heat 5-2 in American Hockey League at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre Monday.

Moose rookie Jordan Schroeder added a goal and an assist while Guillaume Desbiens picked up a goal and a helper as well in the victory. Taylor Ellington, Mario Bliznak and Andrew Volpatti also scored for the Moose, while Andy Delmore would add a late goal in defeat for the HEAT.

The same two teams face off again Tuesday night at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
