Crunch Sign Left Wing John Kurtz

Syracuse, NY (March 29, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed left wing John Kurtz to an amateur tryout contract.

Kurtz, 20, appeared in 62 games with Sudbury (OHL) this season, compiling 30 goals, 16 assists and 59 penalty minutes. In addition, he appeared in four playoff games with the Wolves this year, tallying one assist and two penalty minutes.

A native of Oakville, Ontario, Kurtz skated in 251 combined OHL games with Windsor and Sudbury from 2006 - 10, recording 71 goals, 72 assists and 175 penalty minutes.
