Kings Assign Defenseman Tim Gleason To Manchester

MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings, the NHL affiliate of the Manchester Monarchs, on Thursday assigned defenseman Tim Gleason to the Monarchs. Gleason, 20, has appeared in 29 games for the Kings this season and has two points (0-2=2) and 19 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-1, 214-pound native of Southfield, Michigan, was previously assigned to the Monarchs back on November 28. He was later recalled to the Kings on December 15. In seven games with the Monarchs, Gleason has three points (0-3=3) and two penalty minutes.

The Kings (16-14-10-4; 46 points) continue their current four-game road trip in Columbus, Ohio, on Friday, January 16 against the Blue Jackets at 7 p.m. (ET). The game will be broadcast on Fox Sports Net, ESPN Radio 710 - KSPN and along the Kings Radio Network.

The Monarchs have back-to-back games with the Portland Pirates scheduled for this weekend. First they travel to the Cumberland County Civic Center on Friday, January 16 for a 7:05 p.m. face-off with the Pirates. They will then meet the Pirates at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Saturday, January 17 at 7:35 p.m. Saturday's game is 70's Night with the Monarchs. Fans are invited t join the Monarchs players and staff at the Holiday Inn's Grand Ballroom following the game for New Hampshire's biggest 70's party, sponsored by Rock 101.
