Plekanec rejoins Bulldogs

Montreal Canadiens' General Manager, Bob Gainey, on Thursday announced that forward Tomas Plekanec has been assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.

The 21 year-old forward rejoins the Bulldogs, where he scored 11 goals and added 16 assists for 27 points (11-16-27) in 37 games played. He also has a plus/minus rating of +10 and 46 penalty minutes. The 5'10, 189 pound forward has been selected to play for the PlanetUSA All-Star Team at the 2004 Pepsi AHL All-Star Classic to be held in Grand Rapids, Michigan February 8th & 9th.

Plekanec, who was recalled by the Canadiens on December 31st, went scoreless in two games with the Canadiens. The Kladno, Czech Republic native played in his first NHL game December 31st at Dallas.
