Kings Assign Bernier To Manchester

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have assigned goaltender Jonathan Bernier to the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Bernier, 21, played his first game with the Kings this season on Friday at Dallas, where he recorded the win as part of a 2-1 Kings shootout victory. He was recalled by the Kings on Thursday under emergency conditions. He has also played in 50 games with the Monarchs this year, recording a 26-18-5 record, a 2.08 goals-against-average, a.937 save percentage and eight shutouts.
