Kingfish Swim Past MoonDogs

Mankato, MN - The Kingfish would continue their strong play in 2015 as they would win for a league leading 45th time as they would top the MoonDogs by a score of 11-7 at Franklin Rogers Park in Mankato Minnesota in front of a crowd of 1,009 Saturday night.

The Mankato MoonDogs (12-17, 30-35) were unable to snap a loosing skid that is now at five games while the Kenosha Kingfish (22-7, 45-20) have now won three straight.

However, in what was a back and fourth game early, the Kingfish offense would prevail as they tallied 13 hits in route to the victory.

Through the fist five innings each starter P.J. Schuster Jr. (6-3) and Connor O'Brien (2-1) would put each of their teams in a position to come way with a win.

MoonDogs Brinn Bell, Craig Nennig and Kyle Weston would all have a pair of hits in the game. Nennig would go 2-for-5 with a homerun one RBI and two runs scored. Weston would drive in two in his five plate appearances.

For the Kingfish John Brodner would go 3-for-5 with three RBIs with a homerun and Jeremy Vasquez would also add three hits and two RBIs in five trips to the plate. Three other Kingfish added two hits each.

The MoonDogs will return to The Frank tomorrow, Sunday, for Military Appreciation Night. Gates will open at 5:05 PM with first pitch at 7:05pm.
