Green Bay Rockers News Release
Green Bay, WI- The Green Bay Bullfrogs will look to begin a new winning streak in the first game of a road series tonight at 7:05 with the Kalamazoo Growlers following last night's loss.
The Bullfrogs won three consecutive games until Friday's loss to the Madison Mallards, and Green Bay has won four of the six games played against the Growlers.
Clayton Uselman will be on the mound tonight in his first start for Green Bay. The newly-acquired 6-foot-2 lefthander made his Bullfrogs debut on July 28 against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters.
Uselman threw 2 2/3 shutout innings of relief and allowed no runs on no hits and two walks. He also struck out a pair of batters in the 3-1 loss to the Rafters.
Brian Celsi homered in last night's game and has provided quite a boost to the Green Bay lineup this season. He currently boasts a .349 batting average and has recorded a hit in 13 of his last 14 games.
With only eight regular season games left, the Bullfrogs still have plenty to play for. The Bullfrogs and Mallards are seven games behind the Kenosha Kingfish in the overall standings, but Madison has a slightly better winning percentage for second place.
Green Bay will play a two-game series against the Kalamazoo this weekend before another two-game road series with Kenosha, which will be split up by the Major League Dreams Showcase on Aug. 4.
The Bullfrogs will return to Joannes Stadium on Aug. 6 against the La Crosse Loggers for their final home games, followed by a pair of road contests with Wisconsin Rapids to conclude the regular season.
Single game tickets are on sale now. Visit www.greenbaybullfrogs.com to purchase tickets. The Bullfrogs' business hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
