Your Cedar Rapids Kernels return to Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Tuesday, June 10th for a six-day home stand against Quad Cities and Burlington. Here's a preview of what you can expect these next six days:

June 10-12 vs. Quad Cities

The Kernels begin a six game home stand with three games against the Quad Cities River Bandits, the Midwest League affiliate of the Houston Astros.

The home stand kicks off with Twins Tuesday, presented by Great Clips. Get a buy one ticket, get one free offer through the Kernels Facebook page or email newsletter that you can bring to the Kernels Ticket Office. The Kernels will wear special retro jerseys that will be sold via a silent auction at the end of the season and one lucky fan will win a pair of Twins tickets. Gates open at 5:30 pm and first pitch between the Kernels and River Bandits is set for 6:35 pm.

Who wants free money? You'll want to be here when the gates open at 5:30 pm on Free Money Wednesday, presented by First Federal Credit Union. $500 will be given out by First Federal at the main gates, to fans age 18 and older, with the top cash prize of $100 EVERY Wednesday home game. The Kernels welcome special guests from Saints Baseball to the game. First pitch between the Kernels and Quad Cities is set for 6:35 pm.

It's a Z 102.9 Thirsty Thursday when the Kernels take on Quad Cities at 6:35 pm. Get 20 oz. bottled soda and water and 12 oz. regular draft beer for just $2 all game, plus get $1 off margarita's at the Hacienda Las Glorias / La Cantina Mexican Cart. It's also Little Caesar's College Night. Show your college ID at the Kernels Ticket Office and get a Club ticket and two slices of Little Caesar's Pizza for just $7. Mediacom will televise the game on MC22 on a tape-delayed basis. The Kernels will also have a pre-game Mile Beer Run for adults 21-over. The run/walk starts at 5:45 pm and costs $18, which includes a Club ticket and three beers. Fans wishing to participate must pre-register before this event. The Kernels welcome special guests from TrueNorth Companies and St. Pius School to the game. Gates open at 5:30 pm.

June 13-15 vs. Burlington

The Kernels continue a six-game home stand with three games against the Burlington Bees, the Midwest League affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

During these three games, the Kernels are asking fans to bring a canned or non-perishable food items to the game as part of Eastern Iowa Freedom From Hunger Food Drive. A vehicle will be parked outside the main gates Friday, Saturday and Sunday to collected canned food and non-perishable food items, which will be donated to HACAP Food Pantries.

Come on down - you're the next contestant on Kernels Game Show Night on Friday, June 13th. Fans will be selected to play random game show games all night including playing Plinko LIVE for prizes. The first 1,000 fans through the gates when they open at 5:30 pm receive a free set of 2014 Kernels Baseball Cards, thanks to Perfect Game USA. Its also 98.1 KHAK Kernels Friday Mug Club night. Buy a 16 oz. souvenir mug for $6 and get refills at the concession stands for $3 all game. Bring your mug back to every Kernels Friday home game for $3 refills. First pitch between the Kernels and Burlington is set for 6:35 pm.

It's ISU Cyclone Night on Saturday, June 14th. The Kernels will wear special ISU Cyclone jerseys that will be sold during the game via a silent auction. After the game, boys and girls will have a chance to come down onto the field for a post-game paper airplane toss, sponsored by the Eastern Iowa Airport. Gates open at 4:00 pm and the game features a post-game concert by Lonesome Road and a special FIREWORKS show, presented by the Eastern Iowa Airport. Fireworks nights are VERY popular so contact the Kernels Ticket Office at 896-7560 or order tickets at www.kernels.com to get the best seats. The Kernels take on Burlington at 5:05 pm.

The home stand wraps up on Father's Day, Sunday, June 15th. Bring dad out to the ballpark as it's a Planet X Run the Bases Sunday, where fans can run the bases and play catch in the outfield, and get autographs from the Kernels players on the field after the game. Fans can play Travel Advisors Baseball Bingo for a chance to win a trip to Minneapolis and see a Twins game in 2014. Enjoy the balloon artistry of Papa Balloon, face painting by Kennedy and magician Jackson Green on the concourse during the game. Gates open at 1:00 pm and first pitch between the Kernels and Bees is set for 2:05 pm.

Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium Daily Specials!

Run the Bases Sunday, sponsored by Planet X: After every Sunday home game, kids (and adults) can run the bases, play catch on the field and get autographs from the Kernels, sponsored by Planet X with media sponsor 104.5 KDAT. During the game, play Travel Advisors Baseball Bingo, co-sponsored by the Radisson near Mall of America for a chance to win a trip to Minneapolis and see a Twins game. Enjoy the balloon artistry of Papa Balloon on the concourse and face painting by Kennedy. Magician Jackson Green will entertain at Sunday home games, starting June 1st.

Dollar Monday: Regular hot dogs, small popcorn, ice cream sandwiches, chips and Cracker Jacks are each $1 on Monday home games. Plus, get $1 taquitos at the Hacienda Las Glorias / La Cantina Mexican Cart.

Twins Tuesday, sponsored by Great Clips: Get an on-line coupon from the Kernels Facebook page or email newsletter for a 2 for 1 ticket offer at Tuesday home games as part of Twins Tuesday, presented by Great Clips. The Kernels will wear special jerseys and one lucky fan will win a pair of Minnesota Twins tickets given away at every Tuesday home game.

Free Money Wednesday, sponsored by First Federal Credit Union: First Federal Credit Union will give away $500 at the main gates, to fans age 18 and older, at every Wednesday home game with $100 as the top cash prize.

Thirsty Thursday, sponsored by Z 102.9: 12 oz. regular draft beer, 20 oz. bottled soda and water are just $2.00 all game. Tickets for all Kernel home games are available on-line at www.kernels.com; in person at the Kernels Ticket Office, or by calling 896-7560 during Ticket Office Hours. The Kernels Ticket Office is open from 10 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday and from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday. The ticket office is closed on Sunday, but opens at 11 am on Kernel Sunday Home games.
