The Party at the Park is down to the final three home games starting this Saturday. Here's what you can expect at the ballpark each of the next three games:
September 1-3 vs. Clinton
The Kernels begin a three-game home stand on Saturday, September 1st against the Clinton LumberKings, the Midwest League affiliate of the Seattle Mariners.
It's the final post-game FIREWORKS show of the season on Saturday, September 1st when the Kernels take on Clinton at 6:35 pm. The game will be televised LIVE on KCRG 9.2 and the Kernels will have a special Mug Club Night, presented by Sip N Stir and 98.1 KHAK. Purchase a souvenir mug for $5 and get it filled with soda or domestic draft beer. Refills are $2.50 all night and then take your mug to Sip N Stir for $2.50 refills, anytime. Fireworks nights are VERY popular, so call the Kernels Ticket Office at 896-7560 or visit www.kernels.com to order your tickets NOW. Gates open at 5:30 pm.
You'll want to be here when the gates open at 1:00 pm as the first 1,000 fans through the gates receive a free Mike Trout Wobblehead. It's a 104.5 KDAT Run the Bases Sunday where you can get autographs from the Kernels from 1:20 to 1:40 pm on the concourse and run the bases and play catch in the outfield after the game. Enjoy the balloon artistry of Papa Balloon with face painting by Funny Face Designs by Lori. The Arctic Insulation Party Plaza is open to the public for Sunday's game. Get your game ticket, plus an all-you-can-eat food and beverage package from 1 to 4 pm for just $25. If you've already bought your game ticket, upgrade to the Party Plaza for just $16. First pitch between the Kernels and LumberKings is scheduled for 2:05 pm.
The Kernels wrap up the 2012 season on Labor Day, Monday, September 3rd, with a 2:05 pm game against Clinton. To show our appreciation to our fans for a great season, get two for one on domestic draft beer, bottled soda and water. You'll want to be here when the gates open at 1:00 pm for some great gate giveaway items from the 2012 season and there will be specials on merchandise in the Bimm Ridder Diamond Shop. Register to win an XBOX Kinect from Video Games, Etc., and make sure to purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win the Built By Pros Playhouse, located by the Plumbers and Pipefitters Pavilion, as we'll draw the winning ticket for this season-long raffle during the game.
The Kernels will release their 2013 Midwest League schedule on Tuesday, September 4th, but you can get a FREE 'sneak peek' as Kernels will pass out 16-month 2013 wall calendars to fans at the final three 2012 Kernel home games, starting Saturday, September 1st through Monday, September 3rd. The calendars feature the Kernels 2013 home schedule and FIREWORKS show dates.
Tickets for all Kernel home games are available on-line at www.kernels.com ; in person at the Kernels Ticket Office, or by calling 896-7560 during Ticket Office Hours. The Kernels Ticket Office is open from 10 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday and from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday. The ticket office is closed on Sunday, but opens at 11 am on Kernel Sunday Home games.
